A Temporary Retirement

So, I've been unemployed for a few weeks now, and I have to admit, it's pretty nice.

I'm doing the dishes and laundry a lot. Being around the house for things like getting a new hot water heater or getting the refrigerator repaired. Not too exciting, but it's pretty convenient.

But mostly I've been playing entirely too much City of Heroes, a massively multiplyer superhero game. I've got two main characters, Tobias Ohm (an electical ranged attacker that wears a bright blue pimp suit) and Dry Erase (a claws-based melee attacker). A friend pointed out that it's basically Diablo as a MMORPG, and it's very true. Its design is very streamlined but the combat and world is compelling enough that I can't seem to make myself get tired of it.

My wrist is finally feeling almost back to normal after I'd sprained it rockclimbing five weeks ago. Nothing like being laid off and then not being able to do any acitivities to make you feel like a complete slug. But now that I'm back to playing softball, rockclimbing, and playing tennis, I'm feeling quite a bit better.
