As usual, I took the first driving shift. It was cold (mid 20s) and overcast, but there was no precipitation. Chris took over after lunch, and got stuck driving through varying degrees of snow all through Colorado. It slowed us down, but it could have been much worse.
The cold (down to 1 degree by the time we hit Laramie) hit the Prius hard, and we ended up only getting 40 mpg. Tomorrow should be warmer, so hopefully we'll bounce back.
I realized today that Chris is picking up quite a few states on this trip - Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Idaho. I already have all 50, so he's making a dent in my lead.

Glad you're almost there. Sure don't like the bad weather that you are driving through. The cats seem comfy, though.:-)
